We designed this elegant extension to a period property in the Mapperley Park Conservation Area to create a stunning & contemporary kitchen that dramatically transforms the heart of this home.

This couple wanted to re-plan their house to better reflect their personalities; to create an ideal open plan space fit for entertaining family & friends.

Working together, within the existing properties constraints, we guided our clients towards a design that creates privacy from the neighbours whilst improving natural daylighting and enhancing the views and access out into their gorgeous garden by creating a new re-orientated open plan kitchen – dining space that totally transforms the property. Each member of the team had their individual input to collaboratively and successfully work together.

Our clients now thoroughly enjoy hosting parties in their new space, as well as gaining those ever important moments of reflection; being able to greater appreciate their beautiful surroundings now that the inside space is better connected to the outside landscaping. When asked if they believe the new space has improved their wellbeing they confirmed ‘absolutely, yes and it’s a far more sociable space that positively impacts us on a continual daily basis’.
